Dive Sites Bellow is a gallery of some of the diving sites you can explore with us, around the island of Sao Vicente. Djeu Sul max. depth 30m + Very nice dive, normally with small current due to the protection of the big rock and usually with a lot of life. It can be made from East to West or vice versa, depending on the sea conditions. Good spot to look for big pelagics but also huge java moray eels, lobsters, frog fish of several species. Djeu Norte max. depth 30m + Excellent dive, normally done as a drift dive with current north-south, that sometimes can be strong. Due to the current, there is always an incredible amount of life, and some nice big stuff can be seen in the blue hunting, like barracuda schools, tuna, wahoo’s and even whale sharks and mantas. Sao Macario max. depth 15m + A wonderful wreck dive, one of the “must do” of Sao Vicente. Very easy , shallow and normally with little current and a lot of marine life to observe. The wreck is still in good condition, althought in some areas is already deteriorating. The huge helice is still perfectly intact and visible, and other areas of the ship are also well conservated. Ponta do Tubarao max. depth 18m + A very nice spot to look and search for nurse sharks, normally lying below the rock formations in the middle of the existing canyons. Sometimes diving can be demanding do to the current and the waves, as it is a very exposed site. Ladra Cahorro max. depth 24m + One of the easiest dives of São Vicente, it starts within a protected bay and diving takes place until reaching its furhest point. A lot of life can be seen here, with a very beautiful atmosphere. A beautiful Java moray eel, slipper lobsters and shrimps can be observed here. Ponta Nho Jon max. depth 30m + A wonderful multilevel dive. This beautiful protected bay offers perfect conditions for snorkeling and DSDs but it can also be done more advanced diving as we get close to the furthest point, until reaching and passing some beautiful pinnacles covered with orange and yellow sponges, with sometimes sand tiger sharks. Huge amount of life can be observed here with schools of surgeons, soldiers, and other species. Tojoa max. depth 22m + A very relaxed dive, with a beautiful reef wall with lots of life. There is usually very little current on this spot that can also be done by beginners. Sometimes manta rays come close to divers making it a sensational spot. Sem Ancora max. depth 20m + A very easy drift dive along the reef wall, populated with a lot of life. Very beautiful lobsters are usually seen around this spot, but also rays, frog fish or different kind of moray eels. Aquario max. depth 25m + One of the most beautiful sceneries of this part of the island, this is a really magic dive: it seems like we are in aquarium, as the life is so abundant here. In the blue it is very common to see jacks and barracuda hunting smaller fish . Canjana max. depth 20m + A beautiful protected bay that also has perfect conditions for snorkeling and DSD. Diving is done along the reef wall with a lot of life to observe. At the furthest point it is not rare to see manta rays passing by. Ninho de Guicho max. depth 20m + An excellent place for snorkeling and DSD and a very nice dive for beginners. It is also one of the preferred places for night diving, due to its usually very calm sea condition. Turtles are sometimes present in this place, as well as frog fish, rays and moray eels. Cubos max. depth 20m + A special drift dive along the big rock formations in cubic shape, creating a different atmosphere underwater. Very rich in marine life. Furna de Rosa max. depth 20m + One of the most beautiful dives in São Vicente, starting with a visit to a very large cave, with a large entrance (always visible) with an incredible amount of marine life inside, rays, sand tiger sharks or shrimps. Ribeirinha max. depth 18m + A very easy dive in a beautiful bay with a lot of life to see and a beautiful scenery to look into. A place where it is very common to spot nurse sharks, but also rays, frog fish and lobsters. Turtle House max. depth 18m + On the way to Sao Pedro a very relaxed dive, ideal for beginners where you can find usually turtles swimming by. Mil Pexe max. depth 18m + Very close to “Ponta do Farol” in this dive there is a beautiful small cave (smaller than Furna de Rosa) but also with a lot of life to be seen, with a majestic wall where fishes are very abundant. Ponta do Farol max. depth 30m + One of the emblematic dives of São Pedro, with a beautiful wall below 30 meters, always full of life. An ideal place to watch for pelagic, like manta, tuna, wahoo and occasionally whale sharks. One of the preferred places for wide-angle photographs, due to the amazing scenery. Shark Point max. depth 20m + On the way to the beach of Sao Pedro, not too far from “Ponta do Farol”, this is a place with an unusual concentration of nurse sharks, hiding and resting between the rocks. Lombi max. depth 20m + In the southern coast of the island, to the east of the village of São Pedro, a totally virgin spot, where sometimes we can see mantas and sharks, although this a place with a lot more to see as it is very rich.
