Near the Mindelo harbor, there is a place where some extraordinary critters like to hide! This is a wonderful opportunity for the macro photographers to take the picture of a lifetime… of hairy frog fish, for example!

We feel like we are in a strange world! When we start our diving on the sandy bottom, beside some occasional rocks one can also find old tires, bottles, fisherman nets and many other “odd” materials!

But sometimes, hiding in those strange habitats the big surprise is there: an amazing hairy frog fish or a beautiful sea-horse, not to mention the variety of nudibranchs, crabs and strange critters like sand eels, cuttlefishes and other!
